O&G Specialists: Fast track pathway to Specialist registration now open
The Medical Board of Australia has expanded the Expedited Specialist Pathway to include eligible internationally qualified Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (O&G).
Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) with the following qualifications are now eligible to apply through the pathway:
Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland awarded from 2010 and a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CSCST).
- Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) awarded from 2007, together with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
What this means for eligible Obstetricians and Gynaecologists:
Faster registration: The fast-track pathway offers a significantly reduced timeframe to obtain Australian registration, streamlining the assessment of your qualifications and experience, and enabling a quicker start to your Australian career.
More opportunity: With a high demand for your skills, there is a wide range of exciting career opportunities nationwide. You’ll find positions that allow you to expand your skills, contribute to advancements in women’s health, and shape the future of obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia.
Improved work-life balance: Enjoy the benefits of a healthcare system that places a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Australia’s laid-back lifestyle, coupled with its natural beauty and vibrant cities, creates an ideal setting where you can thrive both professionally and personally.
